James “Jim” Frost, Certified Residential Appraiser
Jim is St. Louis born and raised. He grew up loving the Cardinals, the Blues, and our great food. Being one of four children, Jim developed an independent nature and social proclivity. After school, Jim moved to Los Angeles and bought his first house. From that point on, he was hooked and quickly threw his hat into the real estate ring. In a world of celebrity agents and established brokers, he carved out a place for himself.
While researching his prospective home, he became fascinated with the process of determining value and became a licensed real estate appraiser. Since obtaining his appraisal credentials, Jim has appraised thousands of single-family homes and income properties, gaining extensive knowledge in numerous different markets. Though appraisers are required to be impartial and unbiased in their work, Jim never forgets that there are real people behind each home. Knowing the pride he felt when buying his first home or seeing that pride in others instills James with great passion for real estate.
Though appraisers are required to be impartial and unbiased in their work, Jim never forgets that there are real people behind each home.
During this time Jim met his wife Julia (who is also from St. Louis) and the pull of being back home was too strong to resist. St. Louis isn’t just a city to Jim—it’s a state of mind that only people who live here can understand. Serving sellers and buyers in his hometown became an achievable dream and he hasn’t looked back. His experience has helped him understand the needs of the current market and now more than ever, people need a strong negotiator to represent them. Jim’s appraisal knowledge comes in handy in this regard. Knowing the exact value is critical and this is accentuated by the knowledge Jim obtained through inspecting thousands of homes. This sentiment is what led Jim to sell real estate. Jim’s tireless work ethic has enabled him to do all of these things. This is the drive he gives to buyers and sellers in the real estate market. Jim loves the outdoors (see his video blogs on hiking amenities) and is active in dog rescue and neighborhood watch.
